Rockstar has officially dated GTA 6 for Nov 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. At launch, it is single-player focused, with GTA 6 Online expected to follow after release.
Rockstar has not announced a PC version, a PC window, or any PC features. Until Rockstar says otherwise, assume GTA 6 is console-only at launch.
The historical pattern: why PC often arrives later
Grand Theft Auto games often launch on consoles first, with PC arriving later. GTA 5 launched on consoles in 2013 and came to PC in April 2015, roughly a year and a half later. GTA 4 also hit PC after its console debut.
Rockstar typically uses that extra time to polish PC features, add graphics options, and stabilize online services. This pattern does not guarantee a PC port for GTA 6, but it is the most common trajectory for the series.
What to expect for GTA 6 on PC (if announced)
If Rockstar confirms a PC version, expect a separate date window and a lead-up that includes a dedicated trailer, official newswire posts, and store pages on major PC platforms. Expect system requirements and feature lists closer to launch.
Historically, PC versions add expanded graphics settings and higher frame rate options. None of this is confirmed for GTA 6 yet, so treat all features as unannounced until Rockstar publishes them.
