Free up storage space on your console, update system software, and verify your account login and payment settings so your preload and day-one play are smooth.
Follow official Rockstar and platform store notifications for the precise unlock time in your region. Most console store product pages will show a live timer as launch approaches.
Plan your first session: adjust controller and display settings, and revisit GTA 5 or Red Dead Redemption 2 to get comfortable with Rockstar controls and pacing while you wait.
